Check out their latest CD "Something Quite Peculair"

My top 5 albums at the moment are:

1) Armageddon Gigolo by Spiritual Front
Spiritual front are this really great and underexposed italian band. I have really loved them for a while but this album is just something else, everyone go and check them out!

2) Kick by The White Rose Movement
The White Rose Movement are a london based band that released their first album a year or so ago and for some reason arent massive already. They should be as they are way better than their contemporaries in the u.k and out here too.

3) Empires by VNV Nation
Empires is just a nostalgia kick for me and its something that I have loved for years.

4) Redeemer by Norma Jean
Redeemer is brutal and Norma Jean are insane.

5) Espina by Psychotica
Psychotica are one of my fave bands of all time and so its a no brainer that my fave album of theirs would be on my list.

5 tips for surviving tour:

1) Expect the worst, hope for the best.

2) Bring lots of top ramen, youll find it useful because you can eat it raw or cooked.

3) Bring board shorts because if the a/c goes out, youll be thanking me later.

4) If you like the internet, buy a broadband card, best thing youll ever do on the long 8 hour drives.

5) Have fun, if your not having fun, your gonna hate your band, your life, and everything that follows.

Summer Darling

Instrument: Guitar / Vocals
Notes:
"Health of Others" digital EP available on itunes and other fine digital retailers January 15th.

5 tips for surviving a Summer Darling tour:

1. Have a map. Sounds obvious, don't it? Mapquest will fuck you. So will google maps, so will yahoo maps. There are a lot of places in this country where you don't want to be (Texas farm roads). Conversely, when you get lost, enjoy it. There are hidden treasures, too. Like a nice boutique cheese store or a locals-only bar.

2) Everybody has those shows. You show up to your gig and no one knows you're playing. There are 3 people in the crowd, one's the bartender one's the door guy, the other may be dead. The other band who hooked you up with the show is absolutely wretched and they play for 2 hours while you wait to get paid. You play like shit. You break something and maybe it bleeds. Bounce back! Tomorrow is a whole 'nother show!

3) You're not rude, you're just fucking tired of them! They're your band mates, remember why you love them, remember the time they bailed you out of jail or drove you to a friend's party or paid rent on time, whatever. Think of your band mates like a bunch of people you've married at the same time. You will get sick of them if you spend every second of every day with them. Take a break, get some alone time, it'll change your perspective on things.

4) It's not real. Depression is a definite possibility if not an inevitability on a long tour. I try to remind myself that even though this is my life at the moment, it's not my life at every moment. Going on tour is simultaneously a necessity and a luxury so I try to treat it as such.

5) Drink Coors Light. It's the perfect beverage for any time and any season. And you can drink lots of it without suddenly turning into a raging asshole or a shitty musician. Or at least you should be able to if you're doing it right.
